On Sunday 17th August 2025, I had the privilege of exhibiting my artwork at the 6th Annual Isle of Axholme Lions Club Classic Car & Vehicle Show at Epworth Showground. As both an artist and motor enthusiast, it was the perfect setting to share my work — surrounded by stunning vehicles, passionate owners, and a buzzing community atmosphere.
The show was alive with energy from the very start. Over the course of the day, the arena hosted five spectacular parades, giving visitors the chance to see everything from lovingly restored classics to modern performance cars and motorcycles; even Indiana Jones made an appearance on his military bike from the Last Crusade. It was very clear to see the pride and passion afforded to these incredible machines on full display.
Away from the arena, the festival atmosphere carried on across the grounds. From ice cream vans and German sausages to craft stalls, and children’s activities, it was a joy to be part of such a well-rounded event that appealed not just to petrolheads, but to whole families enjoying a day out together.
For me, the best part was the conversations at my stand. Sharing my fine art with visitors who had a real love for their vehicles sparked so many meaningful exchanges. Many were intrigued by my bespoke commissions — turning treasured cars, bikes, and motoring memories into lasting works of art. Exhibiting at a car show allowed me to connect directly with people who feel as passionately about their vehicles as I do about capturing them on canvas. One of the unexpected highlights was when a few attendees, who aren’t currently exhibiting or selling their own work, kindly shared some of their personal creations with me — and I was genuinely blown away by the talent and passion they put into their pieces.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the Isle of Axholme Lions Club and the brilliant organising team for putting on such a seamless and welcoming event. Their hard work made the day a real success — one that not only celebrated cars and community but also supported local causes through the Lions’ charitable efforts.
I left the show inspired by the passion of fellow enthusiasts, the variety of vehicles on display, and the enthusiasm of visitors who took the time to engage with my art. It was a reminder of how well the worlds of motors and creativity complement one another.
Here’s to many more events like this — where art meets horsepower, and memories are celebrated in style.
