What a fantastic day at the North Clifton Arts Festival! I’m so proud to have been a small part of such a vibrant celebration of creativity and community. The festival was bursting with talent, atmosphere, and joy — the perfect setting to showcase my work.
The main hall was alive with colour and energy, with over 20 tables displaying an incredible variety of art and crafts. Beyond that, the organisers had set up smaller marquees and gazebos to house even more artists, along with live music, refreshments, seating areas, and even a horse box with a licensed bar! The buzz was constant, and it felt wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves.
There truly was something for everyone — from stunning handmade jewellery (with silver and bronze jewellery workshops on offer), to impressive metal sculptures of birds, animals, and flowers. Everywhere you turned there was craftsmanship, creativity, and passion on display.
Of course, no festival is complete without food, and the sausage rolls from Briony Arber Butchers in Saxilby were a real talking point. Freshly baked throughout the day, they were as flaky and delicious as promised!
For me, the highlight was being able to meet so many people who stopped by my stall, ask about my art, and share their own stories and enthusiasm. Exhibiting my pieces alongside such a wide variety of local talent reminded me just how powerful art is in bringing people together.
A huge thank you goes to Sally Sturgess, Clare Watson, and the entire North Clifton Arts Festival team for their incredible organisation and hospitality. The atmosphere was welcoming, the support was heartfelt, and the whole event ran beautifully thanks to their hard work.
Well done to all who entered the art competitions. The entries were amazing and there were worthy winners in all age groups.
I left the festival feeling inspired, grateful, and excited for what’s to come. To everyone who came along and supported local artists — thank you. Your encouragement means so much.
Until the next one!
