Updated: Mar 12

If you enjoy discovering original artwork and want to experience paintings up close, the next few months offer a great chance to do just that. I will be attending several art and craft events where you can see my original oil paintings in person, chat about the work, and purchase pieces directly. These events are perfect for anyone who appreciates local art and wants to support artists in their community.

Whether you are a seasoned art collector or simply curious about original paintings, I invite you to come along and explore the variety of works I will have on display. Here’s a detailed look at the upcoming events and what you can expect.

Upcoming Art and Craft Events

Over the next few months, I will be present at several carefully selected events across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, and Doncaster. Each event offers a unique atmosphere and a chance to connect with artists and art lovers alike.

I will be showcasing a selection of my oil paintings, including new pieces inspired by local landscapes and scenes. North Clifton Arts Festival – North Clifton

Date: 27 June 2026

This yearly event highlights the creations of local artists. Attendees can explore and purchase a variety of arts and crafts, enjoy live music, and take advantage of a licensed bar and refreshments. Additionally, there are art competitions available for both children and adults, as well as games suitable for the entire family.

What You Can Expect at These Events

At each event, I will bring a carefully chosen selection of original oil paintings. These include:

  • Local scenes that capture the essence of life in scenery and architecture, particularly public houses.

  • New studio works that explore different themes and techniques

  • Original oil paintings that showcase texture, colour depth, and artistic detail

You will be able to view the paintings up close, ask questions about the creative process, and discuss commissions if you are interested in custom work. These events are also a chance to meet other art lovers and support the local art community.

Why See Original Paintings in Person?

Viewing original paintings in person offers an experience that digital images cannot replicate. You can appreciate:

  • The texture and brushwork that give each painting its unique character

  • The true colours and subtle shades that often look different on screen

  • The scale and presence of the artwork in a way that photos cannot convey

Buying directly from the artist also means you get a personal connection to the work and can be confident in the authenticity of your purchase.

Tips for Visiting Art Events

To make the most of your visit, consider these tips:

  • Plan your visit by checking event times and locations in advance

  • Bring a list of questions or interests to discuss with the artist

  • Take your time to explore different artists and styles

  • Consider your space at home and think about where a new painting might fit

  • Support local artists by purchasing original work or sharing the event with friends

Supporting Local Artists Matters

By attending these events and purchasing original paintings, you help sustain the creative community. Local artists rely on direct engagement with art lovers to continue producing work that reflects the character and beauty of the region.

Your support encourages artists to keep exploring new ideas and sharing their vision through original art.

I look forward to welcoming you at these upcoming events. Whether you want to find a new painting for your collection or simply enjoy a day surrounded by creativity, these markets and trails offer something special.
